Archaeological data
This website has been created with the aim of allowing open access to the data collected during a pluriannual archaeological survey conducted in Tunisia by the University of Trento and the Institut National du Patrimoine of Tunisia under the common direction of Mustapha Khanoussi, Samir Aounallah (starting from 2012) and Mariette de Vos Raaijmakers.Until 2012 (sites < 645)
Topographical and architectural surveys and theirs georeferencing were carried out by Redha Attoui and Mariette de Vos Raaijmakers assisted by a hundred students and various italian Phd students and tunisians archaeologists: Njima Rajbaoui, Riadh Smari and Walid Ammouri. The elaboration of topographical and architectural surveys has been performed by Redha Attoui who later attended the elaboration and the enhancement of the plans with Martina Andreoli and Alessandro Battisti.
Pottery has been classified and dated by Alberto Ciotola until 2000, analyzed in detail, designed and organized in GIS by Silvia Polla until 2005 (2001-2002, 2004-2005, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2011) and by Martina Andreoli until 2014; amphorae were studied until 2005 and published by Barbara Maurina (2000, 2004, 2005, 2010, 2011).
Pottery database thus compiled was subsequently verified, corrected and updated by Martina Andreoli, integrating it with the pottery stored in Dougga's citerns and with that collected since 2008.
Press elements were the subject of in-depth study of Romano Lanfranchi, Redha Attoui and Mariette de Vos Raaijmakers.
Numerous photographs were taken in 1995 and 1996 by Paolo Chisté (PC); untitled photos were taken by Mariette de Vos.
